All of our meals are prepared onsite. Our center is divided into 4 classrooms: Infants, Mobile Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool. Children are promoted to the next class based on their abilities, rather than their chronological ages. Some of the benefits we offer for our parents are live webcams, a secure fingerprint identification entry, convenient hours of operation, and year round classes for Toddlers and Preschool. "Here at Open Arms, we know each child is a special creation of God." Set in a Christian environment, our program provides experiences that enrich and enhance each child’s spiritual, cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical development. The Open Arms program blends quality care and education. Each day children will be offered a stimulating environment with an array of developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Since young children learn best through play, activities such as Bible lessons and stories, finger plays, music, creative art, science and math exploration, and language enhancement are planned to encourage the children’s eagerness to learn, especially about their Lords creation. Inside Open Arms you’ll see happy, engaged children in a fresh, welcoming environment. As you walk through the halls, you’ll hear stories, laughter, singing, and prayers. You may even smell cookies or muffins fresh out of the oven–part of meals cooked on site in our kitchen. Your child will feel the fun of making friends, the rewards of learning, the excitement of being part of a miniature society, and the joy of growing closer to Jesus.

From four weeks to 12 years of age, we will engage your child in exciting learning activities specifically designed to meet their developmental needs. Our curriculum emphasizes language and literacy, cognitive development, social-emotional skills, creativity and physical exercise. We also go beyond basic curriculum by instilling positive traits that will lead to a lifetime of success through our life-skills programs. The YWCA was one of the first groups in the country to recognize the need for quality child care as mothers began to join the workforce. In 1864, the YWCA founded the first child care center in the United States. Over the decades we have earned a national reputation for loving child care and child development programs. Daily lesson plans focus on values such as appreciation of different cultures and racial diversity. We partner with other agencies to insure that no family is denied care due to income. EmBe childcare centers provide USDA approved meals and snacks. EmBe has an open door policy and parents and grandparents are invited to drop in anytime to participate in their child’s learning experience. From drop-in visits to chaperoning field trips to enjoying family events, we value and encourage our parent-teacher partnerships.
