Ages: 6 to 19
Seals Swim Team is a USA Swimming year around competitive swim
team offering high quality professional coaching and technique
instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team
is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming
skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability,
from novice to international competitor. The Seals Swim Team
is a non-profit organization that is proudly affiliated with
United States Swimming (USA Swimming) and the South Dakota
Local Swimming Committee (SDLSC). We have a two-week free
trial for you to decide if the Seals Swim Team is right for
you! Swimmers are encouraged but not required to compete in
meets. Depending on the level, experience and age of your
athlete, practice groups are as follows: Harp Seals: This
group is our youngest and newest Seal athletes. Harps can be
of a variety of ages as young as 6. As a Harp, the focus is
basic competitive swimming strokes. Galapagos Seals: This is our "middle" group of Seal athletes.
Galapagos athletes have experience in competition and are
generally between the ages of 9-16. Galapagos Seals have
knowledge of all four strokes and work on improving stroke
technique and mechanics while building an aerobic base to help
them compete. Leopard Seals: This is our "top" group of Seal
athletes. Leopard athletes have more experience in competition
and are generally between the ages of 12-19. Leopard Seals
have knowledge of all four strokes and continue to work on
improving stroke technique and mechanics while building a
strong aerobic base, as well as a structured core strength
training program to help them compete at the state, regional
and national level. We are a year around swim team with
seasons that start 2 times per year. Our summer season is
about 4 months long and typically starts in April running
through the Summer Championship meet which is usually the end
of July or first week in August. The winter season is about 6
months long, running typically from September through the
Winter Championship meet which is usually at the end of
February or the first week in March.
Snowfox Swim Team
www.snowfoxswim.com
(605) 951-2559
Ages: 6 to 18
Sioux Falls Snowfox Swim Team is a USA Swimming year round
competitive swim team offering high quality professional
coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities.
It is the goal of the Sioux Falls Snowfox Swim Team to offer
age specific training for all of our athletes. During the
first 2 weeks of every new session, Snowfox offers a 2 Week
Free Trial for any new swimmers interested in trying out our
swim team. The Snowfox Splash Program will introduce you to
the benefits of competitive swimming without the burden of a
large time commitment. Our swim seasons are divided into 3
sessions for each calendar year - Fall, Winter & Summer. The
Fall and Winter sessions consist of the Short Course/Indoor
Season which means that all training and racing are done
indoors in a “short course” pool. The Summer session consists
of the Long Course/Outdoor Season which means that most of the
training and racing are done outdoors in a “long course” pool.
Training groups: Recreation/Triathlon (Rec/Tri): Rec/Tri
swimmers are athletes that want to gain the athletic benefits
of swim training to cross train for other sports. They are
also athletes that want to have professional coaching for
swimming but do not want to compete at meets. Developmental
(D1): D1 swimmers begin learning and developing the four basic
strokes, racing starts, turns and swimming terminology used in
practice. Developmental 2 (D2): D2 swimmers should have
proficiency in all 4 strokes, racing starts, turns and be
confident to compete at meets. Bronze: Bronze swimmers have
refined stroke proficiency and are experienced competition
swimmers. Silver: Silver swimmers have had a few years of
competitive swimming experience. The objective for this group
is to develop endurance, speed, further improve and refine
stroke techniques, practice goal-setting techniques, develop
and employ leadership traits conducive to team success and
have fun. Gold: Gold swimmers are our older athletes and have
made a strong commitment to swimming. Swimmers must make the
commitment to train consistently enough to compete at state,
zone and national levels.

synchronized swimming: solo, duet, trio and team (up to eight
swimmers). In addition, each competitor must participate in
the compulsory figures competition.
